I’ve been meaning to post for quite some time but somehow life took over. Between working with our writing group, finishing up a painting – six moths in the making – and doing a little home remodeling, well you get the idea. That being the case, my plan to post before our current trip failed. So here we are.

So far in Greece we hiked up to the Acropolis. The scale of the buildings that once stood there boggles the mind. Hiking up to the top was a bit of a struggle but well worth it, just like getting here.
Let me back up a bit. We are booked on a cruise from Athens to Venice. Given the length of a flight to Greece we decided to spend a night in London to acclimate ourselves to the time zone and not exhaust ourselves in doing the whole trip in a day.
Day two of our travels came with a bit of a glitch. As I stepped into the train to travel to Gatwick Airport the doors closed behind me leaving Tim on the platform. Un oh! Tim took the next train (a local) while mine was an express. Regardless, all was well when he arrived 30 minutes later.
Now we are on our ship and I decided to set up photo albums on my website if you are interested in following along.
Today I went to Corinth while Tim had an e-bike tour of Athens. The ruins in Corinth are the site where Paul the Apostle went and preached (among other places). His first letter to the Corinthians included some well known quotes. I’ll leave you with one.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
