It seems like a million years ago that Tim and I celebrated Thanksgiving on our journey down the Intracoastal Waterway. Since then a lot has happened, both recently (two hurricaines) and in the past few years. The pandemic is one of the first things that comes to mind.
The pandemic seemed to have changed everything somehow. The least of which is the number of shots I’ve received – I feel like a puppy. At first it was like being a baby and getting shots. Now, with it being an annual event its – Okay, I’m good, I’ve had my shots this year, I can go out and play now.
That being said, there is also much to be thankful for. This Thanksgiving will be very special. We’re headed up to Canada to see Mike and Christy and their new house. New being a relative term. I can’t wait to see them! Meanwhile I’m also thinking about where my warm clothes are.
It seems rather fitting that I brought Mike home from the hospital on Thanksgiving Day back in 1985. So its another new beginning. The house I brought him home to was our first renovation project. I learned much during those years and now its Mike’s turn. There were to be several more moves and renovations after that, but you have to start somewhere.
One of our renovations – Before

After

On another note…
Before the hurricanes struck, Tim and I took a trip out west. He had a conference in Salt Lake City and after that we ventured up to Idaho and Wyoming – The Grand Tetons National Park and Yellowstone. Here are some pictures:
